2nd International Conference ‘African Urban Planning’

The 2nd international conference ‘African Urban Planning’ will be held in Lisbon, Portugal from 7 to 8 September 2017.
Four years after the first conference, this event will be the opportunity to discuss the state of research of African Urban Planning.
Organised by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning – University of Lisbon, in collaboration with the International Planning History Society (IPHS), the conference will be structure around four main themes:
1 – The History of African Urban Planning
2 – Learning from African Urban Planning
3 – Localizing Goal 11 of the SDGs and The New Urban Agenda
4 – Social and economic challenges and changes in African cities
