Gaborone welcomes ‘African.i am’

African network agency, Brand Africa Global, will launch its African.i am inititiative, which is focused on development and promotion of the continent and its culture, during the 200 Business Assembly in Gaborone, a platform for marketing and investing in 15 african countries.

The launch event will be held on October 28 and 29.

As The Monitor reports: “According to Audra Wilson-Max (Brand Africa Global CEO and founder), the Assembly invites an “extraordinary group of 200 market and African representatives”, who will engage a committed assembly of international players.”

“The headline event is expected to feature rigorous debate on unlocking Africa’s value in areas such as mining, finance, insurance agriculture and tourism, all underpinned by the role of technology. The Assembly is expected to draw up to 1,000 delegates from the local, regional and international markets.”

General manager of Botswana Insurance Company,┬áDziki Nganunu, will chair the Botswana 200 Business Assembly. “[He] said the 200 Business Assembly would play an important contribution to the country’s efforts to diversify the economy away from its dependency on diamonds,” reports The Monitor.
