Call for applications: Africa Check is hiring researchers

AfricaCheck.org — the first fact-checking website focusing on the African continent — is looking for researchers to join a small but growing team that scrutinises claims made by leading public figures and institutions and hold them to account for what they say.

The organisation is looking for skilled, dynamic and highly-motivated researchers with an ability to write clearly and succinctly about complex matters. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of statistics and data. Broad knowledge of general Africa history, politics and business is essential. The successful candidates will be university graduates or post-graduates who are able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate their findings.

The posts are full-time positions. The successful candidate will be based at the Africa Check office at WITS University in Johannesburg.
