The International Growth Centre’s Cities Research Group is hosting its second annual thematic conference to strengthen the community of scholars working on cities and urbanisation in developing countries. The conference will take place at the London School of Economics (LSE) from Thursday 28 January to Friday 29 January 2016. The goal is to showcase the best current work on cities and development, and provide a forum for leading academics and policymakers to come together and build the future research agenda on urbanisation. The two-day event will consist of both academic presentations and policy discussions on the main challenges facing developing cities, with a particular focus on issues surrounding infrastructure, transportation, and sanitation.
The IGC is now open to submissions of papers from interested researchers on topics within the area of cities and urbanisation in developing countries, preferably infrastructure-related, to be considered for presentation at the conference. Only full-length papers will be considered.
If you are interested, please fill out this form by Friday 30 October 2015 to be considered for the conference.
Should your paper be selected, we will contact you with further information about the conference along with an invitation to attend.
