Deadline: 30 April 2015 - 12:00am
The international journal plaNext is proud to launch an open call for full paper contributions from researchers and practitioners in planning and other related fields of research. plaNext is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing high-quality and original research, managed by AESOP’s Young Academics Network.
The fundamental approach taken by plaNext is to provide prospective authors with an opportunity to engage their ideas in international debates through a guided peer-review process that encourages a supportive environment to authors, ensuring constructive feedback for the improvement of papers. Furthermore, plaNext fully promotes open-access academia, which includes a fully open review system where reviewers receive full credit for the work that they do and are thus also fully accountable for all feedback provided to authors. As an interdisciplinary publication, plaNext invites authors to submit original materials that include empirical research, theoretical discussions, innovative methodologies, case studies or book reviews on selected books, textbooks, or specific topics related to planning. All manuscripts published in plaNext are published open access and are thus freely and permanently available on the InPlanning digital platform (www.inplanning.eu) via which all plaNext volumes are digitally published. Published manuscripts are thus freely and permanently available to the general public for comments and discussions.
Please send your full manuscript to email@example.com. All manuscripts are to be submitted in English and should not exceed 8.000 words, including references, footnotes and endnotes. Please find the author guidelines attached. Contributions for this open call should be submitted by 30th April 2015.
Once received, your paper will be forwarded by the plaNext editorial board to 2-3 independent referees for review. We encourage authors to suggest referees to review their manuscripts, as this can significantly speed up the review process. Please include the fully names, current position and contact details for suggested referees with your submission. It is not appropriate to nominate individuals that have had any input into your submitted manuscript or any recent collaboration with the primary author(s) of the manuscript. This open call is for the second volume of plaNext.
The first special edition of plaNext “Cities that Talk” includes selected manuscripts from the 8th AESOP-YA Conference, which took place at the University of Gothenburg 10-13th March 2014. This first edition will be launched at the 9th YA Conference to be held in Palermo in March 2015. We look forward to receiving your manuscript.Read older posts from this section
