Deadline: 27 April 2015 - 12:00am
Dates: 8 - 9 May 2015
Malawi’s International Short Film Festival has arrived! Lilongwe Shorts will take place in the country’s capital on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 May 2015. This is your chance to be a part of the inaugural event: submit your film now. Right now. But certainly before 27 April. If you don’t have a short film, make one!
The easiest way to enter your film for consideration is to email the organisers a link to where your film can be streamed online. Lilongwe Shorts prefer to watch films on Vimeo (remember to send the video’s password if there’s a privacy setting on), but films on other video-sharing platforms such as YouTube will also be accepted. Send the link to your film to this email address: email@example.com. If your film could fit into the programme, the organisers will be in touch about the best way to get a high-quality version for screening.
Alternatively, you can bring a copy of your film (DVD or the file itself) to the Lake of Stars office in Lilongwe’s Area 3. Email Lilongwe for directions. It can also be posted to Lake of Stars, P.O. Box 252, Lilongwe, Malawi.
You will also need to email a completed submission form (don’t worry, it’s very simple!), which you can download by clicking here. If you’re dropping off your film in person, you can still send the submission form by email; alternatively, there are printed forms you can complete at the office. There is no limit to the number of films you may submit, but a separate submission form is needed for each one.
