VIA Innovation Challenge II is now open for applications. The programme consists of a 4 month virtual track, in which 10 innovative thinkers with ideas to solve a water problem in African cities will be selected and get the opportunity to develop and test their innovation with VIA Water support. They will participate in workshops, receive individual coaching sessions and access to grant funding up to €200.000.
VIA Water supports projects with innovative solutions for water problems facing cities in seven African countries: Benin, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda and South Sudan.
The organization works on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 – Water in cities in Africa -, in innovative ways, together with new as well as experienced players, and with a mind-set focused on sustainability.
VIA Water is a cooperation between UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education and Aqua for All, and is being funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Deadline for applications is November 7th, 2016.
