Urban Arrival Infrastructures. An International Workshop on Migration and Cities in the 19th and 21st Century
In this international workshop, we want to investigate the role of urban arrival infrastructures in shaping the interactions between newcomers and the broader urban fabric.
Submit a paper related to the theme of migration, urbanisation and health in southern Africa in advance of the workshop, which will be pre-circulated and discussed in detail with other participants during the workshop.
The CCLPS invites papers that investigate spatial representation as a cultural practice and a discourse in the broadest possible sense from an interdisciplinary perspective. It seeks papers that question and encourage discussions on the implications, limitations and new trajectories of rethinking representations of space beyond a Eurocentric prism and European theory in Asian, African and Middle Eastern culture.
