The UN-Habitat Urban Data program is offering free and open access to data about countries and cities around the globe. The open data set allows the download of specific country and city indicators so as to start comparing cities.

Cities: 741
Indicators: 103

The urban indicators data available are analyzed, compiled and published by UN-Habitat’s Global Urban Observatory. Urban statistics are collected through household surveys and censuses conducted by national statistics authorities.

UN-Habitat’s urban data sets are made available under the Public Domain Dedication and License v1.0.
